Murder of the Mystery Detective

Mystery Detective Friday, March 27, 2009

Tickets are now available for the Dartmouth Library Foundation, Inc.’s 3rd annual Murder at the Library program.  This has become a favorite event for community sleuths who enjoy putting together the clues scattered around the library to figure out who did what to whom, where, and with what.  (Col. Mustard in the library has nothing on us!)  Join our cast of local luminaries which includes Select Board member Bill Trimble, WBSM radio personality Ken Pitman, and Platinum Realty Group’s Judy Lima.

Scheduled for Friday evening, March 27, 2009, at the Southworth Library, the event will feature a cash bar (beer and wine) and a hot and cold buffet through the generosity of Cardoza’s Wine, Spirits, and Food Emporium.Tickets are $30 per person and are available at the Southworth and North Dartmouth Libraries.  Checks may be made payable to the Dartmouth Library Foundation, Inc.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Dartmouth Public Libraries.

We hope to see you at the library at 6:30 p.m.

Nintendo Wii to be raffled

wii.jpeg Did you stand outside Best Buy, in the cold, at 5 o’clock in the morning, at Christmastime, and then get in to discover that all the Wii’s were sold out?!  Did you talk yourself out of buying a Wii for your kids when you realized that soon they would be referring to themselves as “Toad”, “Yoshii”, and “Peach”?  And now you’re having second thoughts, because your neighborhood just started a Wii Bowling League?  Well, the Dartmouth Public Libraries can help!  We are raffling a new Nintendo Wii, for only $1 per chance, and 7 chances for $5.00.  Tickets are available at the Main Desk of the Southworth Library.  The drawing will be held at the Murder Mystery event, to be held at Southworth  on March 27th.  You do not need to be present to win.  Proceeds will benefit the Dartmouth Public Libraries.
