A special Town Meeting will be held on Thursday Jan 8th, 2009 in the Dartmouth Middle School Auditorium at 7:00 pm to address changing the Town’s Charter to include a recall provision. The event will be televised live by DCTV.

The Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, December 18th at 7:00 p.m. Members have invited the Dartmouth Board of Library Trustees to attend this meeting in order to discuss whether there would be any merit to privatizing the libraries. The Privatization Study Group in town recommended public library privatization in April of 2008. The Board of Library Trustees just issued a report on the subject expressing opposition to privatization of the public libraries in Dartmouth.
