Bucks for Books

The current fiscal year budget for the Dartmouth public libraries is funded 25% less than last year and changes in services and hours will prevail through next June due to the outcome of the special override election at the end of last month.

Our book budget is half of what is required to maintain state certification. Dartmouth Public Libraries need to raise funds for the purchasing of books, newspapers, magazines and DVDs to match the Town’s appropriation and try to keep our certification.

All donations to this Materials Fund will be used immediately to supplement our book budget. There is a box for cash donations on the circulation desk. Tax-deductible donations can also be made to the Dartmouth Library Foundation.

Checks can be made payable to the Dartmouth Library Foundation, Inc. at 732 Dartmouth St. Dartmouth MA 02748. Designate as a donation to Bucks for Books on the check.
