The annual Spring Town Meeting will be held at the Dartmouth Middle School beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 1st. Articles for discussion include a proposed park to be located between Southworth Library and Cushman School, wind turbines, the establishment of a Lincoln Park Improvement District, the town’s operating budget for Fiscal Year 2011 and preservation of historic records at Town Hall, among others.

A Special Town Meeting will be held on Jan 26th at 7:00 pm in the Dartmouth High School Auditorium. The Town Meeting’s agenda for discussion, called a “Warrant” includes three items.
The first article is submitted by the Alternative Energy Committee and the Select Board and concerns the design and construction of Wind Turbines in Dartmouth.
The second article is submitted by the Planning Board and concerns alteration of zoning by-laws to include a modified village business district.
The third article is submitted by the Executive Administrator and the Select Board and concerns acceptance of Mass. General Law, Chapter 32B, Section 18, concerning “contributory group general or blanket insurance”.

Dartmouth will hold a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday August 25th at 7:00 pm in the Dartmouth High School Auditorium. Town Meeting members will vote on whether or not to raise taxes in Dartmouth on restaurant meals and hotel stays. A warrant article to increase access to Clark’s Cove is also up for consideration.
