Lego Club Party Sat 5/18 2pm

lego clubThis is the last meeting of the Lego Club this Spring – it will start back up in August after the Summer Reading Program is finished. Saturday’s meeting will include a small party.

This program is designed for children who are interested in Legos to simply come together to use their imaginations together. The program is mostly free play with self-instruction.

Half price admission for up to 2 adults and 2 youths (ages 3-12). Regular price for adults is 15.00 so 7.50 with pass. Regular price for children is 7.00 so 3.50 with pass. Children under 3 are free. Heritage Museums and Gardens Museum Pass is a new addition to our Museum Passes thanks to the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries. Located in Sandwich, MA, the Museums and Gardens include 3 exhibition halls, a carousel, windmill, labyrinth, maze and expansive gardens including a large rhododendron garden.

Passes must be returned to the Southworth Library Circulation Desk and have a 5.00 per day fine if returned late.

Ballet & Book Reading for Children Sat. May 4 3pm

Southworth Library hosts children’s author David Rottenberg on Saturday May 4, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Haskell Auditorium. The author will read the picturebook Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig, about a young pig who wants to learn to dance. Gwendolyn & her friend Omar study dance – it helps Omar with football tryouts!

The Smith School of Dance from Somerset, MA, will be at the event to dance along to the book & then give the audience a small ballet lesson afterwards.
